Tank the Dog that Makes Mom Smile.

Tank loves to lay down anywhere that there is space at American House. Everyone there loves him so much. He loves when he gets all their special attention.
What a cute, wrinkled face! Trust me everyone thinks he is so special especially my mom Lucy.

To tell you the truth this is the first time I actually have seen Tank stand up. When Mom came to say hello
he got up for her.

I keep forgetting to post photos of Tank the dog that visits almost everyday at American House. The residences loves seeing Tank, and will have quiet talks with him. Tank looks like an army tank, and he walks very slow like the rest of the residence do. He has lots of wrinkles on his face and he does  like laying in the sun .  He will not bother anyone but loves the attention and love by everyone there.

My mom loves Tank. I took many photos of him for her to post on her door in her apartment. Many times I will walk in on her conversation that she is having with him and she is explaining to him how important he is to her. Many reports say how important animals are to sick people and for the old and by seeing it myself I can say animals can put smiles on anyones faces. Please check out some of my photos of Tank. I know you will walk away realizing he does look like a tank, and he does have a lot of wrinkles. By his weight you can see how he could walk very slowly, and loves his treats.

  1. I love hearing about your Mom and all of her adventures. I know this is a difficult time. Never ever lose your sense of humor. I think this blog would be wonderful for any family that is dealing with memory loss of a parent I wonder how you could get it out to them maybe by notifying some publications that deal with older people or family issues. I know many could relate to your blog and even try some of the things you are trying. Sandee you never stop be a teacher — thanks you for that and thing what a legacy your mother can leave by you helping others with your story.
