Mama Lucy Lou's 91st. Birthday Party at the Gilbert Residence

Mama was glowing today and her birthday crown even made her more of a Princess. She was smiling all over the place, and boy did she love her chocolate cake and ice cream. I forgot to take a picture of the pretty cake but trust me everyone enjoyed the cake and some wanted seconds.

We gave everyone shiny necklaces to wear and everyone loved wearing their cool necklaces. The men had necklaces with dolphins on it and the ladies had necklaces with pretty hearts. I bought some funny glasses and a couple of the Buds loved wearing the glasses. One man named Bill said he looked very handsome with his glasses. Some of them wanted to wear the birthday hats and a couple said NO WAY!

One lady wanted everyone to sing Happy Birthday to her friend Lucy. One photo you will see Mom clapping and singing. Before we celebrated Mama Lucy Lou's birthday, Gino said a birthday grace for Mom. Gino was once a minister, and he still knows the beautiful prayers to share with us all.

Mom opened her presents and she loved the soft fur from inside her new shoes and slippers, that she kept putting the fur on her nose. You will see in a couple of the photos, Mom putting her shoes and slippers up to her nose. Helen her BFF sat with her and kept an eye on her, and after the party Helen told my brother that Mama Lucy Lou wanted us to go home now. Helen is very protected with Mom.

Everyone loved the cake and ice cream and I even saw a couple of the Bud sucking on their spoons for any icing that was still on them.

After Mama Lucy Lou, ate her cake, ice cream and opened her presents, Helen told Lucy it was time to go. They both got up and started walking like they do and enjoy everyday.

Gino, called Lucy Lou to come by him and he wished her a Happy Birthday, and then asked her if she would not mind if he gave her a birthday kiss? He gave her a sweet one right on her cheek. Mama Lucy Lou just smiled after the kiss and went to walk with her Bud Helen.

The most important part of Mom's birthday was that my brother and I will never forget, Mom said Hi and knew our names. I have not heard her say my name for so long... It made our day ..... her gift to us on her birthday.

Lucy Lou's 90th Birthday Party Finally..

Finally, we had Mom's Birthday Party today. Everyone was smiling and feeling better. Mom sparkled with her dazzling Princess Crown. She smiled all through her party, and she ate her piece of cake and ice-cream within minutes. Mom loves her sweets. The birthday hats were a big hit. Everyone wanted to wear the hats and they looked adorable on each one of them. Mom's special friend Ally a WR Family member brought her birthday balloons , three of her favorite candy bars for later, and a loving Grandma card. Mom's Birthday Party...

We decided to have a small party seeing my nephews and Rachelle were sick and could not make it. Tom and I got twenty-four cupcakes, flowers and balloons. Greg, Kristofer, Tom and I went to  surprise Mom and have a party for her. Mom was laying down when we arrived for her party, and  so happy to see us. We took her in the nice dining room, and a couple of nurses came in to wish Mom a Happy Birthday.

Tom and I stopped in at  Chick-In for a strawberry shake and ham and cheese sandwich. She did not like the shake and had a few bites of her sandwich. She then looked at her cupcake and did not even take a bite of that. Everyone knows how she loves her sweets. Greg went and got her a coke, but she still felt sick to her tummy and had such a bad tummy ache. Thank goodness Kristofer was there to express what he thought could be wrong, and he thought she had not gone  potty for a couple of days and needed some meds to help her.

Poor thing food was making her feel sick even on her birthday party.
Cupcake for Mom and cupcakes for everyone... Yummy..yummy......!

Flowers, balloon, and the birthday girl.. 88years old... what a Diva!

Mom loves her coke... she says in Armenian very delicious...

She expressed many times to me that she was scared and did not want me to leave. I told her that I would not leave her until she felt better. We took her back to her room and had her rest, and the nurse gave her something for her  upset tummy and meds. to help her go to the bathroom. Today was to be a happy day and a wonderful celebration for Mom but not this year.....yes we are still so blessed to have her.......
