Monday with Mom...

Today, I noticed Mom had many emotions... HAPPY ONES... A SURPRISE LOOK ONE. .. A THINKING ONE.... .I guess she was slipping into the past.. ... and then a SAD ONE about to cry... and Kept holding hands with Helen..

I want to try and help her when she shows the sad faces, or when she is drifting into the past. Its hard because she is not listening or looking at me. I even give her some kisses.. sometimes that gets her out of those emotions....or makes her angry.

When we walked into the Gathering Hall of Grace Hall, Mom was sitting with Donna. Mom gave us such a happy and surprised look when she saw us.

Then she got up and kept looking for someone. Yes.. she found her friend Helen. When she sat down next to Helen, it seemed she was about to cry, maybe she was glad she found her friend. Neither of them said one word.. they just smiled and held hands. I am so happy to know Mom has someone she seems so happy to be with and relaxed with and its Helen.

Yes... Mom has a new haircut, and a bump on her head. She fell over the weekend, and they called to tell us about her fall. Mom shuffles a lot with her feet and they keep telling her to pick up her feet, and guess what? She does pick up her feet when they remind her.

It was fun seeing Mom today.. and we brought Monday treats for everyone.. YES .. something yummy and sweet.

Grace Hall Family Having Fun Putting a Puzzle Together

Grace Hall Family having fun putting a puzzle together.

Miss Elicia always knows how to make Mom, Lois and the gang happy. She got this puzzle box out and placed all the pieces on the big table. Mom got right in there to help. Many of the gang would sit for awhile and helped put a piece or two into the puzzle shape. Mom and Lois kept trying.... I think Mom was making sure Lois stayed on task by holding her hand and smiling at her.

It was fun watching and listening to Lois in how she knows the tricks of putting a puzzle together. You will see George and Michael smiling at the camera. Michael works at Gilbert Residence, and I am amazed how he knows everyone's name. George called him over to talk to him. Usually, George has his Michigan Hat on. He is a Go Blue Guy. Michael and George talked for awhile and then George shook hands with him after their conversation.

Grace Hall is a place where everyone is loved and their are so happy. I am so bless that Mama Lucy Lou has such a nice place to call HOME.

Tea at Grace Hall

Tea at Grace Hall

Mom's two buddies were sitting in the gathering hall at Gilbert Residence, and I suggested that we go outside and sit on the deck. Mom's two Buddy's thought that was a great idea... but not Mama Lucy Lou. Mama Lucy Lou asked me why in the hell were we here?

We went outside and sat around the umbrella table. The weather was just perfect for sitting out. There was a nice, cool breeze and looking down at the Huron River was so peaceful. Lois one of Mom's friend kept saying that she was so excited that she finally can see if the trees are tall or not? She continued that when she is inside and looking out the windows she never could see how tall the trees were?

Lois was really enjoying the outside and pointed at the tall trees and if a bird flew by she would get so excited. Mama Lucy and her other Buddy kept asking me what they are suppose to be doing? I told them just to enjoy the warm breeze tapping, gently on their faces, and enjoy the warmth of the sun smiling down at the three of them. They still were not too happy.

Lois kept pointed at so many things outside, and just kept smiling. I don't know how many times did she thank me for bringing her outside and how happy she was? Mom and her other buddy were getting restless, and I kept showing them things that were in the woods. I also asked them if they had a nice husband? Lois just kept talking about her husband on how handsome and tall he was. She smiled again and said she was a Mrs. Mom and her other Buddy did not say anything about their husbands but they smiled so sweetly and must of remembered someone special.

One of the staff brought to them cups of tea and cookies. When they saw the tea and the cookies they all just kept giggling with excitement. Their eyes were big as saucers seeing such a treat in front of them. I told them that they were going to have such a nice tea party on such a beautiful day. The three tea party ladies from Grace Hall enjoyed their tea party, especially the cookie .
