Valentine's Day With Mom....

I made fifty Valentine pins for Mom to give out to whoever she wants too for Valentine's Day. I took   in a basket today with lots of goodies for her to eat. When Tom and I waked into her apartment she had everything locked and a chair up to her door so no one would come into her place. When we knocked and she saw it was us, she got so excited to see us.  She started mumbling something about people not liking the Armenians and  that's why she locked the door. Tom tried to change the subject quickly for her, but she kept coming back to it.

She soon got very excited when she saw the lamb chops, pilaf and brussels sprouts for her to nibble on. While she picked at her food, she kept telling me how much she loved my Valentine's top, and wished she had one too. I took it off and gave it to her to wear, while I put on one of her tops. Mom was like a little kid she was so excited about wearing the top she thought was so neat.

I showed her the basket of Valentine pins that I made for her to give to her friends. She asked if I would help her pass them out, and I replied I would. When we got ready to go downstairs to give out her pins, her flowers came that I had ordered for her.  She thought Mr. Bill the handyman had bought it for her seeing he was giving it to her. I did not care who she thought it came from all I knew she was so happy  getting such a nice basket of flowers just for her.

Mom giving her friends a Valentine Pin and telling each one how much she loves them.

This little lady did not know what Mom wanted...yes.. some Oldies and Goodies did not want a pin.

Even the men wanted a pin, and a  Valentine Kiss too.

These two ladies are the ones that eat with Mom.

This is Pat the Nurse.....thanking Mom for the Valentine Pin.

Mom loving her Valentine Flowers.... still did not know we gave them to her.

This is my top that she kept telling me how much she wished she had one... so I took mine off and let her have it.  Look at that smile.... she was so happy.....

We went downstairs and she started giving the pins out, and in Armenian she said some of these people were mean and she did not want to give them a pin. I explained she could give the pins to whoever she wants to be her Valentine. Everyone was so excited to get a pin, and even the men wanted one. Mom made everyone's  day with a Valentine pin and and she explained to each one of them that they were very special to her  and she loved them very much. Seeing Mom and all these Oldies and Goodies loving their Valentine Pins, made me love this years Valentine's Day even more.
